Eleusis Axiom Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Eleusis Axiom app for iPhone and iPad, its support, and its page on the Mindful Echo website handle information.

Effective 16 August 2026

The short version

Private by design.

  • There is no Mindful Echo account, advertising, tracking, free-form chat, or embedded third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK in Eleusis Axiom.
  • Solo progress and preferences are stored locally. Eligible progress can sync through your private CloudKit database; reminder settings stay on the device.
  • Nearby play connects 2–6 devices directly over an encrypted local connection. It does not use the camera or QR codes.
  • Online 2–6 player turn-based matches and purchases use Apple Game Center and the App Store.
  • Mindful Echo receives information when you contact support, visit the website, or make Apple diagnostics available to developers.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Eleusis Axiom is made by Mindful Echo Ltd, an independent studio registered in England and Wales, company number 17017108, with registered office at 1 Merlin Way, Christchurch, England, BH23 4BL.

This policy applies specifically to the Eleusis Axiom iOS and iPadOS app, support for Eleusis Axiom through Forgotten Games support, and the Eleusis product and privacy pages on mindful-echo.com. It does not rely on or extend the separate Forgotten Games anthology privacy policy.

Mindful Echo Ltd is responsible for personal information where it decides how and why that information is used for Eleusis Axiom. This includes the app progress records stored for its purposes in your private CloudKit database, information received through support and the website, and Apple developer analytics, diagnostics or TestFlight information it chooses to access. Apple is separately responsible for the Apple account, platform and service information it processes to operate iCloud, Game Center, StoreKit, the App Store and TestFlight under Apple’s own privacy terms.

Eleusis is Robert Abbott’s game. Eleusis Axiom is Mindful Echo’s independent implementation. Nothing in this policy claims or implies that Robert Abbott endorsed Eleusis Axiom.

2. Information stored locally and in private iCloud storage

Eleusis Axiom stores the information needed to preserve solo progress and preferences on your device. This can include:

  • solved challenge identifiers, completion dates and times, experiments, hints and incorrect attempts;
  • play counts, first-attempt results, tutorial completion and daily streak information;
  • recently seen law identifiers, difficulty tiers and dates used to avoid unwanted repetition in Free Play; and
  • whether a Daily reminder is enabled and its chosen time.

If you are signed into iCloud and iCloud is available for Eleusis Axiom, eligible progress records sync through your private CloudKit database so they can remain consistent across your Apple devices. Reminder settings stay on the device. These records use Apple’s private CloudKit storage rather than a Mindful Echo gameplay server.

The app also keeps limited local delivery and recovery records for active or recently handled Nearby and Game Center matches. These records can include random match and participant identifiers, delivery state and the shared game state needed to retry a transfer or reopen a match. They are stored in the app’s Application Support area and are not sent to a Mindful Echo server.

3. Daily reminders

Daily reminders are optional local notifications. Eleusis Axiom asks for notification permission only after a user with the Full Unlock deliberately enables the reminder. The selected time is stored on the device, and iOS schedules the notification locally. Mindful Echo does not operate a push-notification server for reminder content.

You can turn reminders off in the app or change notification permission in iOS Settings. Turning the reminder off removes its pending local notification.

4. Nearby multiplayer

Nearby multiplayer is optional. It uses Apple’s local networking technology to find and connect 2–6 devices in the same area. Players choose a display name; the device name may be offered as the initial value. Participating devices exchange that name, random match and participant identifiers, reconnect information, moves, laws, results and the shared technical game state required to play and recover the match.

Messages travel directly between the participating devices over an encrypted local connection and do not pass through a Mindful Echo server. Other people in the chosen match necessarily receive the names and game information needed to play with you.

Eleusis Axiom does not use the camera or QR codes for Nearby pairing. You can change local-network access in iOS Settings.

5. Apple Game Center

Online multiplayer is optional and is provided by Apple Game Center. Eleusis Axiom uses Game Center to authenticate the local player, create or open a 2–6 player turn-based match, invite or match players, transfer match state, manage turns and record outcomes. For those functions it processes Apple match and player identifiers, participant status, display names, match options, turns, game state and results. Display names are shown to other players in the match.

Apple may process and display Game Center information such as nicknames, avatars, friends, opponents, games and activity according to your Apple account and Game Center settings. Mindful Echo does not copy Game Center matches to its own server. Read Apple’s Game Center privacy information and manage visibility in your Apple account and device settings.

6. In-app purchases

The Full Unlock purchase and purchase restoration use Apple’s StoreKit and App Store services. Eleusis Axiom requests product and entitlement status and receives Apple-verified transaction information so it can unlock or restore features.

Apple handles Apple accounts, payment methods, billing, refunds and family or purchase controls. Mindful Echo does not receive payment-card details and does not operate a separate purchase server. Read Apple’s App Store privacy information.

7. Apple analytics, diagnostics and TestFlight

Eleusis Axiom does not embed an analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Apple may make privacy-protected App Store usage reports and crash diagnostics available to Mindful Echo when users choose to share them.

If you test Eleusis Axiom through TestFlight, Apple may make beta-testing information available to Mindful Echo in App Store Connect. Depending on how you join and what you choose to submit, this can include your name or email address, invitation status, installed build, sessions, crashes, device and operating-system details, written feedback, and screenshots. Public-link testers may appear anonymously unless they provide an email address with feedback. Screenshots and comments can contain personal information you choose to include, so please avoid sensitive information.

Mindful Echo uses TestFlight information to distribute and support beta builds, respond to testers, investigate reliability and improve the app. Apple controls TestFlight collection and its service retention; Mindful Echo keeps any downloaded testing report or feedback only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes. Read Apple’s TestFlight terms.

Reports can contain aggregated downloads, installations, sessions and crashes, or technical details such as the app version, device model, operating-system version and code executing when a problem occurred. Mindful Echo uses them only to understand adoption, investigate reliability and validate fixes. We keep any report we download only as long as reasonably needed for that work. Apple controls its collection, privacy protections and retention.

You can change future sharing in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Share With App Developers. Read Apple’s guidance on sharing analytics and diagnostics.

8. Support and website information

If you email support.forgottengames@mindful-echo.com, Mindful Echo receives your email address and the information you choose to send, such as your message, app or device details, screenshots or attachments. We use it to reply, investigate the issue, keep the service secure and maintain necessary support records. Please do not send passwords, payment details or other sensitive information.

The Eleusis pages on the Mindful Echo website do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Website hosting and security providers may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser or device type, requested page and access time to deliver and protect the site.

Optional links to attribution and independent source websites open in your browser. Those operators handle the resulting requests under their own privacy terms.

9. How information is used and shared

Mindful Echo uses information it controls only to provide and support Eleusis Axiom, secure and troubleshoot the service, respond to users, administer purchases, improve reliability and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising or allow third parties to track users across apps and websites.

Information is shared only as needed with:

  • people you choose to play with in a Nearby or Game Center match;
  • Apple when the app uses iCloud, Game Center, StoreKit, App Store, diagnostics or TestFlight services;
  • providers that host, secure or deliver the website and support email, acting for Mindful Echo; or
  • authorities or other parties where disclosure is legally required or needed to protect rights and safety.

Where UK data-protection law applies, the legal bases are performance of our contract with you for requested app and purchase functions; Mindful Echo’s legitimate interests in securing, troubleshooting, supporting and improving the service; consent where specifically requested; and compliance with legal obligations. Device permissions remain under your control.

10. Retention, transfers and security

Local and private-iCloud gameplay information remains under the app and Apple controls described above. Local multiplayer delivery and recovery records may remain in the app’s storage until you delete the app; the current Reset Progress control does not remove them. Apple keeps information under its own retention rules.

Mindful Echo keeps support messages only as long as reasonably needed to resolve and document the request, protect the service and meet legal requirements. Website security logs are kept only as long as needed for delivery, security and abuse prevention.

Apple or our service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where Mindful Echo is responsible for a transfer, it uses providers and safeguards intended to protect the information as required by applicable law.

Eleusis Axiom uses Apple platform protections including private CloudKit storage, encrypted local connections and verified StoreKit transactions. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we also limit the information Mindful Echo receives.

11. Your choices, deletion and rights

No Mindful Echo account is required. You decide whether to enable iCloud for the app, grant local-network or notification access, use Nearby or Game Center multiplayer, contact support or make a purchase. Permissions can be changed in iOS Settings, and Game Center and iCloud settings are managed through Apple.

Reset Progress in Eleusis Axiom Settings deletes campaign results, statistics, streaks, tutorial completion and seen-law history from the local progress store. When private iCloud sync is available, those progress deletions are designed to synchronise to your private CloudKit database. Reset Progress does not delete reminder settings or a pending reminder, Apple purchase or Game Center records, or the app’s separate local multiplayer delivery and recovery records.

Deleting the app removes its local app data, including local multiplayer recovery records, but may not delete progress already stored in private iCloud. To remove synced progress, use Reset Progress while iCloud is available before deleting the app, or manage the app’s iCloud data using Apple’s controls.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection for personal information Mindful Echo controls. These rights apply to information we can identify and control. Most gameplay information is held only on your device or in Apple-controlled or private Apple services, so Mindful Echo usually cannot retrieve it.

Send requests to support.forgottengames@mindful-echo.com. UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

12. Children

Eleusis Axiom may be played by people under 18. Its privacy-protective defaults apply to everyone: there is no Mindful Echo account, advertising, tracking or free-form chat; multiplayer and purchases are optional; and Apple applies the family, multiplayer, privacy and Ask to Buy controls configured for the user’s account.

A parent or guardian who believes a child sent personal information to support can contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app, providers or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted at this permanent URL with a new effective date, and material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.

Questions and privacy requests can be sent to Mindful Echo Ltd at support.forgottengames@mindful-echo.com.
